Südtirol Sellaronda Hero

The Südtirol Sella Ronda Hero makes part of the International Calendar of UCI MTB MARATHON WORLD SERIES and is the toughest MTB bike race in the world. It is in fact a very long race course, just around the famous Sella massif. 

The competition is carried out on two different paths: one of 84 miles and 4,300 vertical meters and the other of 62 km and 3,300 m. The race runs through the four Ladin valleys around the Sella: Val Gardena, Val Badia, Arabba and Val di Fassa. Selva di Val Gardena is the point of departure and arrival. The route runs both on public and private roads, paved roads, forest roads and trails in the woods.

Off piste skis

Of you want to get away from the busy slopes and are fit enough to walk up the mountains, you should give off-piste or back-country skiing a try.

Back-country skiing is done wholly by leg muscle power without the use of lifts or cable cars. It has the advantage that you can reach slopes and peaks that are not accessible to other skiers.
